About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the BBC’s marketing team and work on some of the UK’s most prestigious news brands. As a Marketing Executive, you will play a key role in creating and delivering marketing communication campaigns that grow our programmes and build a relationship with our audience. The role is part-time and you will work alongside another Marketing Executive in a job-sharing arrangement.

The News Marketing Team is responsible for helping to grow News’ biggest brands as well as working alongside editorial colleagues to introduce a new generation of audiences to our news content. You’ll be able to grow your skills working across a wide portfolio of brands and stakeholders, with a diverse mix of media channels. You are part of a small team so your voice will be heard and influence decisions being made. You will also have opportunities for growth as part of the wider BBC marketing community.

Your key responsibilities include overseeing the creation and delivery of marketing assets for both major and business-as-usual campaigns across channels such as TV, pre-roll, social, radio, and CRM. You will work closely with digital and CRM teams on programme selection and promotion, own timing and delivery requirements across projects, lead the creation of performance reports alongside media and CRM teams, understand and own compliance processes, and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, especially creative and media teams.

Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrable experience of creating and delivering marketing assets or campaigns across multiple channels, gained within a marketing team, creative agency or comparable environment.
- Experience managing multiple marketing activities or projects simultaneously, including working to production plans and deadlines, with strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Understanding of News and Current Affairs audiences, and how marketing can be used to engage audiences with news content.
- Experience analysing campaign or audience performance data and using insights to make clear, actionable recommendations that improve marketing activity.
- Experience building effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders, including collaborating across teams to manage requirements, priorities and delivery.

About you
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team. You are proactive, adaptable, and motivated to contribute to growing some of the UK’s most prestigious news brands. An understanding of both traditional (e.g. TV, radio) and digital media channels is desirable.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are stated as mandatory. However, relevant marketing experience and a demonstrable understanding of the media landscape are essential.
