About the Role

At Cygnet Hospital Beckton, we offer a range of secure mental health services for women across four specialist wards including PICU, acute admissions and personality disorder services. We are recruiting full time Mental Health Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
As an active member of our dynamic team, you will provide support for nursing staff including admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, always focusing on dignity and safety.
In this role you will work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support the implementation of treatments and therapy as per service users’ care plans, complement and support qualified nurses, undertake safe observations of patients (sometimes 1:1), meet the physical and emotional needs of service users with care and empathy, and play an active role in maintaining physical and mental wellbeing through individual or group work.
You will also help maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment, work within Safeguarding guidelines, and undertake training in de-escalation and PMVA techniques to support patients with potentially violent or aggressive behaviours.
Please note that successful candidates will be required to complete mandatory training and induction including restraint training, and undergo an enhanced DBS check. Experience
Previous inpatient mental health experience is ideally required, preferably in a challenging and/or acute setting.

Qualifications
