About the Role
At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities by fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves, exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen meaningfully to each other and our customers. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, Moody’s is advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that understands complexity and responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
The Methodology Review Group (MRG) is an independent review function within Credit Standard and Strategy (CSS), dedicated to upholding the integrity of our Credit Rating Methodologies. MRG’s responsibilities include reviewing and approving Credit Rating Methodologies and conducting sampled reviews of Credit Rating Actions and Periodic Review Assessments.
This 10-week summer internship offers a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, providing opportunities to build professional and technical skills. Interns will participate in networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series, and volunteer events. Reporting to a Team Manager, this internally facing role involves meaningful project work aligned with real business priorities, allowing interns to contribute as integral team members while gaining confidence and practical experience.
Responsibilities include assisting the MRG in managing core activities such as methodology review, approval, and rating committee review processes; preparing methodology review and approval memos; participating in the review of methodology and CRQT approvals; preparing MRG and regulatory reporting with high accuracy and timeliness; and supporting process automation to enhance workflows and create dashboards.
Moody’s is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage candidates who model our values: investing in every relationship, leading with curiosity, championing diverse perspectives, turning inputs into actions, and upholding trust through integrity.
