About the Role
Join Peabody's Place Management team as a Neighbourhood Manager in Southmere, Thamesmead, playing a key role in creating safe, welcoming, and thriving neighbourhoods. This unique opportunity places you at the heart of Thamesmead's long-term regeneration, supporting residents, managing tenancies, and helping deliver high standards across homes, estates, and public spaces. Based at the Southmere development, you will be the visible face of Peabody, building strong relationships with residents, resolving issues promptly, and shaping the day-to-day experience of one of London's fastest-evolving communities.

Southmere is central to Peabody's transformation of Thamesmead, delivering new homes, improved public spaces, shops, community facilities, and better connections across the area. This role goes beyond traditional housing management; it is an opportunity to help build a thriving neighbourhood and support a growing community.

Key responsibilities include delivering excellent tenancy and neighbourhood management services, building strong relationships with residents, community groups, and local partners, managing tenancy matters, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, estate issues, and customer enquiries. You will carry out estate inspections, welcome visits, and resident engagement activities, work closely with internal teams and contractors to resolve defects, repairs, and estate issues, and support community events while helping shape local services through resident feedback.

Experience
Housing management, tenancy management, or community-focused experience is essential. Experience within regeneration, estate management, or new-build environments is desirable. A mix of Private and Social Housing experience is advantageous.

About you
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with confidence handling challenging situations and resolving problems. Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills are required. You should be passionate about communities and making a visible difference.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
Basic DBS check is required. No specific formal qualifications are stated, but knowledge of housing management and tenancy legislation is desirable.
