Night Mental Health Recovery Worker
Location
Based in Enfield (Nearest overground Enfield Town, Bus Routes available). Please note there is no step free access at this service.
Hours
Average 37.5 hours per week ranging from 32 to 43 depending on the rota. Covering nights Monday to Sunday between 20:30 and 08:00. Flexibility may be required as per service needs, with some shifts falling on bank holidays under usual work patterns.
Salary
£27,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a Night Recovery Worker to join our 24/7 supported accommodation service based in Enfield. The service offers 21 beds to adults with complex mental health needs and operates with a team including a Service Manager, Deputy Service Manager, a day team of 10, and a night team of 4. You will be a present member of the night shift team, with a minimum of two people working per shift. Our aim is to promote independence and equip residents with the tools needed to live fulfilling lives within the community.
In this role, you will support residents on their journey to recovery, reablement, and rehabilitation. You will assist individuals transitioning from complex care or acute mental health services to a structured rehabilitation setting. Working closely with various teams, you will provide tailored, person-centred, and trauma-informed support to help residents overcome personal challenges, achieve their goals, and support medication compliance, making a meaningful difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to residents to help them achieve personal goals and outcomes.
- Deliver all aspects of the service efficiently and consistently, including welfare checks, support sessions, safeguarding monitoring, risk assessments, and participation in training and development.
- Help design and participate in service-led activities such as games nights, movie nights, cooking, and other events to promote independence and relationship building.
- Support residents with medication adherence.
- Ensure all service responsibilities and requirements are effectively carried out.
- Initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crises or other risks.
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental or physical health and escalate as required according to procedures.
Experience
Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs is desirable but not mandatory. Ability to work flexibly within a recovery-focused environment is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in mental health or social care are advantageous but not essential. Ability to use IT systems for case notes, emails, and other software is required.
