About the Role
The Ratings Operations Specialist II plays a key role in supporting the ratings process by reviewing debt issuance documentation, applying rating procedures, managing issuance-related activities, and ensuring quality control through effective stakeholder engagement. This position involves reviewing lengthy debt documents and rating-relevant provisions, applying rules and guidelines to issuance submissions, and determining qualification criteria for current published ratings or further analysis by the Lead Analyst. The role requires facilitating issuance portfolio management, issuer relationship management, and promptly escalating and researching discrepancies or conflicts. The Specialist will interact with issuers, investors, and intermediaries as part of the rating process and provide professional and timely resolution of inquiries from both internal and external clients. Additional responsibilities include auditing entries submitted by Ratings Operations Specialist IIs, releasing ratings from specialty queues, participating in semi-annual debt reviews, annual SOP reviews, and contributing to ad hoc special projects. The role demands flexibility, adaptability to changing priorities, and a strong drive to achieve results and customer satisfaction.
About the Team
The Ratings Operations team is essential in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of rating-related data by reviewing debt issuance documentation and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Working closely with analysts, issuers, investors, and other market participants, the team supports efficient rating operations and delivers high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably with familiarity in debt capital markets and prior experience reviewing financial or legal documentation.

Qualifications
Minimum undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree). Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Familiarity with debt capital markets through coursework or relevant work experience is preferred. Proficiency in German, both verbal and written, is a plus.
