About the Role
As a Painter and Decorator at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, you will interpret and work from appropriate instructions, drawings, and specifications to deliver high-quality painting and decorating services. You will work in a multi-task environment, ensuring the security of all plant, equipment, and buildings under the Maintenance Department's jurisdiction. It is essential to maintain secure work areas and ensure plant rooms are locked at all times. You will use all relevant tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and health and safety guidelines. Reporting any building defects, surface damage, or hazards identified during your work to the Helpdesk and Line Manager is a key responsibility. You will assist the Estates Manager in fulfilling departmental aims and objectives while working within defined technical parameters (HTMs). You will prioritise your own workload and discuss any work-related issues with your Line Manager. Participation in appropriate training courses or updates in line with mandatory requirements and Personal Development Plans is expected. You will ensure your Mandatory Training and PADs are kept up to date in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures. Additional tasks may be delegated by your Team Leader, and you will undertake other duties as reasonably requested by Management.

Experience
Proven experience in painting and decorating within a maintenance or facilities environment is desirable. Ability to work effectively in a multi-task setting and follow technical specifications.

Qualifications
