About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dental Directorate for 4 full-time Patient Pathway Coordinators. You will provide a confident professional service to patients, carers, and service users, supporting them throughout their pathway of care while adhering to Trust Policies and Procedures. The role involves working closely with clinicians to maintain the smooth running of dental clinics, managing outpatient and inpatient bookings, uploading referrals, supporting clinicians, and assisting the team lead. You will lead on tracking patient pathways, ensuring timely treatment and meeting national targets by collaborating with clinical and managerial staff and providing high-standard administrative support. This role is key to delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service across a range of Trust-wide specialties and supporting day-to-day operational functions.

Experience
- Significant proven experience delivering high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume customer care environment
- Ability to deal with a range of issues independently and efficiently
- Proven administrative experience
- Experience within the NHS and supervising staff is desirable

- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Demonstrable experience in data collection, presentation, report writing, and handling data quality issues

- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills face to face, in writing, and on the telephone
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload and that of junior staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of peer review and governance processes is desirable
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate level in business administration or equivalent
- Evidence of formal further training in short courses and experience of a range of administrative practices
- IT package qualification/training (e.g. ECDL) and customer services qualification/training are desirable
