The Patient Pathway Coordinator/Team Leader will lead the tracking of patient pathways, ensuring timely treatment and meeting national targets. This role involves close collaboration with clinical and managerial staff, providing high-quality administrative support across Trust-wide specialties. The post holder will manage outpatient bookings, referral allocations, and pathway tracking, supporting the operational function on a day-to-day basis.

This role requires cross-site working between Guy's Cancer Centre and the Cancer Centre at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, so applicants must be prepared to travel between both locations.

Guy’s Cancer Centre is a leading national centre for cancer treatment and research, with a purpose-built facility at Guy's and a state-of-the-art centre at Queen Mary's Hospital offering chemotherapy and radiotherapy closer to home for local patients.

The post holder will regularly liaise with a wide range of clinical, managerial, administrative staff, patients, relatives, and external agencies, providing a professional and patient-focused service.

Requirements

Experience
- Extensive business administration experience demonstrating understanding of key admin support functions
- Proven experience in validating and managing patient pathways
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with a range of issues
- Experience of hospital administration is desirable

Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate level in business administration or equivalent
- Evidence of formal further training and significant experience in hospital administration
- Customer services qualification/training is desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in data collection, presentation, report writing, and data quality management
