About the Role
Enfield Council is seeking to recruit 2 highly organised, professional and proactive Personal Assistants to provide confidential, high-quality administrative, secretarial and PA support to Directors within the Environment & Communities Department. These key roles within the Executive Support function help senior leaders work effectively and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department and wider Council. You will work as part of a collaborative team supporting multiple Directors, with responsibility for diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and a wide range of business support tasks.
Key responsibilities include managing Directors’ diaries, arranging meetings and adjusting priorities as needed; reviewing and managing correspondence, highlighting urgent matters and coordinating responses; handling telephone enquiries professionally; organising meetings, briefings and travel arrangements; preparing agendas and collating papers; taking accurate minutes and monitoring actions to completion; supporting Cabinet Member and management team meetings; dealing with member enquiries and tracking responses to MEQs, complaints and FOIs within deadlines; maintaining key records and logs including sickness absence, planned leave and recruitment forms; processing expense claims and supporting performance appraisal scheduling; providing cover for other Personal Assistants and supporting wider Executive Support activities as required; and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Personal Assistant at senior management level, including managing multiple inboxes and diaries.
- Experience dealing with enquiries from the public and external organisations in a helpful and professional manner.
- Knowledge of a wide range of IT packages including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

Qualifications
- While no formal qualifications are specified, experience of taking and producing accurate minutes of meetings is desirable.
