About the Role
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, founded in 2013 by world-renowned makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury CBE, is a global beauty phenomenon with a mission to empower everyone to look and feel like the most confident version of themselves. With a presence in over 50 markets and a team of over 3,000 members worldwide, we combine creativity, innovation, and industry-leading technology to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The Platform team is responsible for the infrastructure that supports the Charlotte Tilbury online customer experience and the internal platform used by our engineers. This includes CI/CD pipelines, shared Terraform modules, security improvements, and tooling optimisation. Our engineers work in small, agile squads using SCRUM or Kanban methodologies, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver impactful features.

As a Platform Engineer, you will maintain and enhance our AWS platform to ensure a luxury shopping experience, enable cross-functional squads to self-serve infrastructure provisioning, improve developer tooling and experience, and continuously review our cloud infrastructure for security, performance, and cost-efficiency. You will also receive mentoring and training to keep your skills current and have opportunities to contribute to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and incident response.

This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation are at the core of everything we do, helping us scale and support ambitious growth plans.

- Understanding of observability concepts and experience using monitoring tools like Grafana for logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts

About you
- Curious, proactive, and enjoys solving platform problems that enable other engineers
- Comfortable working with a range of production services and understanding their build, monitoring, and support
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and willing to seek help when needed
- Comfortable with ambiguity and refining direction collaboratively
- Understands that platform work involves not only provisioning infrastructure but also ensuring reliable day-to-day service operation
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable balancing project delivery with operational support
