About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong cloud platform experience to join us in evolving the reliability, scalability, and operational health of our LSEG Workspace platform. Workspace is a core product used by financial professionals worldwide for real-time data, analytics, research, and productivity. We design and operate this platform with care, balancing performance, resilience, security, and ease of use at scale.

In this role, you will strengthen how our cloud-native services are designed, operated, and supported across AWS and Azure. You will contribute hands-on engineering skills, share technical guidance, and help shape long-term platform approaches in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment. This role combines technical depth, practical delivery, and the opportunity to positively influence how we build and run reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and operate Workspace platform services that are resilient, scalable, and well-understood.
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure and application reliability across AWS and Azure, focusing on availability, performance, and sustainable cost practices.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles including developing and refining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Collaborate on the technical direction of Workspace cloud services, providing input on distributed systems design, container platforms such as EKS, cloud networking, storage, and security.
- Investigate and resolve complex service issues while improving observability practices for early detection and root-cause analysis.
- Automate infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and operational processes supporting CI/CD workflows using GitLab and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
- Embed security and compliance into engineering practices, ensuring alignment with governance, vulnerability management, and regulatory requirements.
- Share knowledge, mentor engineers, and help create reusable patterns to improve platform consistency.

Experience
Substantial experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps at a senior or principal level with a hands-on approach to building and supporting production systems. Strong experience working with AWS and/or Azure and comfortable operating Kubernetes-based platforms such as EKS. Solid Linux foundation and familiarity with SRE concepts and observability practices. Experience working with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab and infrastructure-as-code solutions like Terraform. Understanding of cloud-native networking and high-availability design. Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based teams.
