About the Role
The Private Sector Housing Compliance Officer role is within the regulatory and compliance side of Property Licensing. You will be responsible for inspecting private rented dwellings to ensure license conditions are adhered to, checking management standards, and identifying potential housing disrepair. This role requires a high number of inspections to be carried out to strict deadlines while maintaining a customer-focused approach. You will also focus on detecting criminality, gathering evidence, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to improve housing standards. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this position.
Experience
Experience in property compliance or housing regulation is preferred.

You will be organised and flexible in your approach to work, with excellent customer service and communication skills. You may be required to work early mornings, late evenings, and/or weekends regularly. You are expected to provide excellent service to landlords, owners, occupiers, and tenants across all tenures. You will work as part of a high-performing team, ensuring efficiency, monitoring targets, and delivering quality service.
Qualifications
Aptitude and experience in using technology to input and access information using various IT systems (Excel, Word, databases, etc.) are essential.
