About the Role
Goldman Sachs Wealth Management empowers clients worldwide to achieve their financial goals through advisor-led financial planning, investment management, banking, and comprehensive advice. The Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) team is a global group of 80+ alternative investment professionals across eight offices, managing over $120B+ in assets under supervision. ACM offers a full-service capital markets business covering the entire lifecycle of alternative investments, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, co-investments, and impact investing.
This role focuses on the discretionary management business, where you will create bespoke portfolios of alternative investment funds across closed-end, evergreen, hedge funds, and co-investments. Responsibilities include leading client portfolio reviews with alternative portfolio analysis and implementation guidance, providing performance attribution and fund commentary, monitoring portfolio performance and underlying asset valuations, preparing detailed portfolio reports and presentations, leading the investment process including portfolio construction and manager selection, assisting with cash flow management, capital calls, distributions, and liquidity forecasting, contributing to portfolio construction and risk management processes, maintaining portfolio data accuracy, collaborating with investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams, and conducting ad-hoc research and analysis.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or private equity
- Deep understanding of financial markets and alternative investments
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
