Central London, working across multiple locations within the allocated cluster including Ealing, Hillingdon, Brent, Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea, Westminster, Harrow and Barnet. Travel between these locations will be required in line with business needs.

About the Role
This role is based within the London Probation Service and involves working as a specialist Probation Officer focusing on Offender Personality Disorder (OPD). The post holder will provide individual and group consultations, write formulations, and develop pathway plans for cases screening into OPD, ensuring all records comply with current guidance. Responsibilities include delivering CORE-OM joint case work, attending MAPPA meetings for OPD cases, and providing training such as OPD induction and Personality Disorder Awareness Training (PAT) to probation staff. The role also involves promoting the OPD pathway and services within Personality Disorder Units (PDUs). This is a dual workplace role requiring attendance at one office in each of the four allocated PDUs once per week. The post holder will be managed within the London OPD team and must be willing to travel between offices as required. The business will cover any tax and National Insurance implications related to the dual workplace arrangement. This role requires Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) clearance due to access to sensitive police and criminal justice information.
Experience
Experience working within probation services or related criminal justice settings is essential. Experience in managing cases involving personality disorders and multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPA) is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Mandatory qualification requirements include:
- Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma or Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice
Or a qualification previously recognised by the Secretary of State for Justice under Section 10 of the Offender Management Act 2007, such as:
- Diploma in Probation Studies
- Diploma in Social Work (with Probation Option)
- CQSW (with Probation Option)
