About the Role
Linklaters is a leading international law firm operating in 20 countries through 30 offices. We foster a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere that values inclusivity and diversity, enabling us to work as one team with a common goal. The Regulatory Compliance team consists of global in-house lawyers and advisers who provide advice on all aspects of regulatory compliance, strategic initiatives, and projects including new business lines and legal technology. The team monitors emerging legal and regulatory requirements, implements policies and processes to ensure firm-wide compliance, and provides training and monitoring. Acting as the main liaison with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), the team supports investigations and reporting of potential breaches and oversees the firm’s enterprise risk management programme, reporting key risks to senior management and committees.
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will work closely with a supportive team of lawyers and specialists based in London, Singapore, and Warsaw. Your responsibilities will include managing legal risk and internal compliance globally, providing in-house legal advice on regulatory and professional conduct matters, supervising junior colleagues, and assisting in policy development. You will raise awareness of key risk topics through training, manage internal incidents and compliance breaches, support regulatory reporting to the SRA, and contribute to the firm’s enterprise risk management system. You will also provide advice on specific projects, particularly ESG initiatives, and keep stakeholders informed of regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
This role requires responsiveness to enquiries outside core hours to support global operations. You will contribute actively to promoting a risk management culture throughout the firm.
