The Research Development Associate will proactively assist and facilitate researchers working in Heart, Lung and Critical Care to support the Trust’s growing research business. This role involves supporting the development of research grant proposals, project managing grant applications, and working closely with research teams to disseminate outcomes and raise the profile of research internally and externally through events and campaigns.

The post holder will act as a key contact for researchers, provide expert advice on grant development, identify funding opportunities, and contribute to research development reporting. The role also includes administrative support to the PPI Lead, liaison with academic partners, organisation of research education events, and acting as Associate AcoRD Specialist to ensure compliance with NHS research cost attribution.

Experience
- Knowledge of major applicable research funders
