About the Role
We are seeking a Resident Liaison and Engagement Officer to join the Resident Liaison and Engagement Team. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive engagement programme for Council tenants and leaseholders across Enfield. You will organise a variety of events, both large and small, across multiple sites and online, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and aligned with the Resident Involvement Strategy, the 2020 Housing White Paper, and recent Housing Regulator requirements.
You will collaborate with Council services, community groups, and public and private stakeholders to support the Council's strategic aims for the Housing Service and wider community. Working closely with key residents’ groups and scrutiny panels, you will facilitate meetings and support these groups in scrutinising and improving council services.
Additionally, you will support the implementation of the Resident Engagement Strategy, driving increased participation of tenants and leaseholders across consultations, events, and online platforms including social media.
This role requires a self-starter with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, high computer literacy, and a passion for empowering communities. You will champion the voice of residents and bring innovative approaches to increase participation, especially among under-represented groups.
Ability to travel and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by service demands are essential.

Experience
Proven track record in delivering meaningful engagement activities that lead to outcomes and improvements. Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders is highly desirable.

Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with high levels of computer literacy. A self-motivated individual with a passion for community empowerment and engagement. Energetic and innovative, able to increase participation from under-represented groups. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to travel within the borough is essential.
