Hours
36 hours per week on a long-week/short-week rota designed to provide consistency for children and young people while supporting a healthy work-life balance for staff.
Shift Patterns:
- Morning Shift: 07:00 - 14:30
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 - 21:30
- Short Week: 4 working days
- Long Week: 6 working days, including weekends
- Shift Leaders work until 22:00 to provide handover to the night team

Salary
£34,998 - £37,134 per annum inclusive of London weighting.

Ade Adepitan Short Break Centre offers a unique and rewarding environment where no two days or care needs are the same. You will support children and young people with a wide range of disabilities including Autism, ADHD, complex care needs, and profound disabilities.
As part of a dedicated team, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care that respects each child’s individual wishes, feelings, and aspirations. Duties include supporting children with personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care, moving and handling, and assisting with transfers using manual and ceiling hoists.
You will plan and lead meaningful activities, participate in community outings using the on-site minibus, and undertake key-working responsibilities to ensure children’s voices remain central to their care.
The role involves close collaboration with parents, schools, CAMHS, social workers, health professionals, and other agencies to deliver consistent, holistic support that promotes positive outcomes.
This position offers valuable hands-on experience with complex needs including specialist medical routines such as gastrostomy care. Full training will be provided. The variety and complexity of support make this a highly rewarding role with excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression in children’s services, disability support, safeguarding, health and social care, or education.

Experience
Previous experience in residential child care or working with children and young people with disabilities is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
