About the Role
Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities? Our Orient Street Short Breaks Respite Service is seeking passionate and committed Residential Support Officers to join an exceptional team dedicated to improving outcomes for adults with learning disabilities. This service provides a safe, caring, and stimulating home environment for young people and adults with learning disabilities.

As a Residential Support Officer, your primary focus will be to maintain a safe and supportive environment while promoting residents' independence and engagement in community life. Responsibilities include providing personal and domestic care, managing health and safety, implementing activities, cooking meals, and supporting residents with eating and meal preparation.

You will be required to maintain accurate electronic records of activities, update care plans and risk assessments, and demonstrate basic IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic care records.

The service operates 365 days a year, and staff are expected to work scheduled shifts outside of leave agreements. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.

Joining the team means becoming part of a supportive, values-driven environment focused on empowerment and quality of life, with access to structured training and development opportunities to support your career progression in care.

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and occasional sleep-ins, is essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development and training is expected.
