We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Retail Sous Chef to join our team overseeing a bustling hospitality department. Key responsibilities include food preparation and cooking dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef, ensuring food safety at all times. You will manage your station, oversee the production of all dishes assigned to you, maintain supplies, and ensure cleanliness in line with policies. Maintaining high quality standards for all dishes, including presentation and taste, is essential. You will collaborate positively with team members, support colleagues, and coach junior chefs to aid their development. Menu development is a collaborative effort with the head chef, including tasting and suggesting improvements or innovations. Additionally, you will maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and ensure equipment is in good working order.

Experience
Proven experience working as a Hospitality Sous Chef or in a similar role.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
