About the Role
This role is part of the Traveller Education Service within the Inclusion Service at Cognus. The Secondary Education and Family Liaison Officer will provide 1:1 learning support and promote the inclusion of vulnerable pupils of Traveller ethnicity. The post holder will work across multiple secondary schools, supporting Gypsy, Roma and Traveller children and young people to engage fully in education and society. This is a peripatetic role requiring flexibility and willingness to travel daily between schools. The successful candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm and creativity to inspire and build positive relationships, especially with young people, while managing a varied workload in an organised and professional manner.
Experience
Experience working in education settings, ideally at secondary level, with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils and promoting inclusion.
