About the Role

This new and exciting role involves leading a small multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality data, management information, and operational outputs supporting Defence-wide security incident management.

The postholder will provide leadership across JSyCC’s analytical and operational activities, supporting the JSyCC Assistant Head in setting direction, managing priorities, and ensuring timely, accurate, and impactful products. This role combines leadership, operational delivery, data insight, and strategic influence, with responsibilities including briefing senior leaders, shaping how insight is commissioned and used, and managing relationships across the incident management community.

The role includes direct line management of 1 x HEO Data Analyst and 1 x HEO Operations Manager, providing guidance, development support, and ensuring effective delivery. The postholder will also provide out-of-hours on-call support as part of JSyCC’s operational responsibilities.

Training and development in Defence security, JSyCC processes, and analytical capability will be provided to support success in the role.
