About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families? Join Camden Council's SEND & Inclusion Service, where we aim high for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This pivotal role ensures the delivery of an exceptional service by strengthening relationships with families, schools, and communities.

As a SEN Case Officer, you will manage the development and maintenance of Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans from initial applications and assessments through to annual reviews. You will work directly with families, schools, and partners to ensure children and young people with SEND receive appropriate, person-centred support. By coordinating services across education, health, and care, you will ensure holistic, high-quality delivery tailored to each child and family.

You will act as a key contact for your caseload, attending planning and review meetings and responding to SEND queries. Your role requires ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and maintaining timely, effective communication with all stakeholders. Using data, feedback, and reflective practices, you will contribute to continuous service improvement.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check.

About you
Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive and potentially contentious situations effectively. A commitment to ensuring the voice of the child is central to decision-making. Passionate about working collaboratively with children, young people, families, and partners to deliver high-quality SEND services.
