About the Role
Hillingdon Council is building on best practices to implement exciting improvements in our SEND services. We are committed to providing the highest level of support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), working closely with educational settings to ensure their needs are met effectively. This role offers the opportunity to embed innovative approaches to SEND support across the local area, leading a busy team with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for managing SEND Appeals, Tribunals, and formal Mediations, ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and best practices, and maintaining high standards of communication both orally and in writing.

Experience
- Proven track record of managing a busy team with strong leadership qualities
- Experience handling SEND Appeals, Tribunals, and formal Mediations
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice
- Knowledge of recent developments in SEND case law and best practices
