About the Role
The SEND Tribunals, Mediations and Resolutions Officer is responsible for managing appeals and disputes related to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those concerning Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Working on behalf of the Local Authority, you will ensure all legal obligations are met in resolving SEND cases. This includes preparing and submitting evidence for tribunal processes and representing the local authority in legal settings to ensure outcomes are legally compliant and in the best interest of the child or young person.
The role involves resolving disputes amicably where possible, while preparing for formal hearings when necessary. The goal is to ensure all parties are heard and legal requirements are met throughout the tribunal process.

Experience
- Significant experience in the SEND sector.
- Proven knowledge of SEND legislation and tribunal procedures.
- Practical experience with SEND legislation, the EHCP process, and dispute resolution.
