About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Join our expanding Mace Advisory Centre of Excellence within Mace Consult, where our team has a track record of successfully delivering strategic advisory commissions for property and infrastructure clients globally. We are seeking candidates with strong advisory experience and particular depth in benefits management for major programmes and capital projects, ideally gained within a consultancy or through relevant commissions.

This role supports clients to identify and agree benefits early and establish the governance, plans, and frameworks needed to realise and track those benefits over time. Key responsibilities include developing benefits management frameworks and realisation approaches, leading benefits identification and profiling, defining benefit owners, targets, measures, baselines, dependencies, and delivery timelines through engagement with client leadership and stakeholders.

You will integrate benefits management into wider business case development, programme controls, reporting, risk management, and investment decision-making. You may also bring experience in adjacent areas such as organisation design, capital planning, feasibility studies, economic and financial modelling, change management, commercial advisory, and project controls.

As part of the role, you will direct benefits management commissions, manage workshops and stakeholder engagement, develop benefits strategies and realisation frameworks, design governance and assurance arrangements, and communicate complex topics clearly and compellingly. You will also contribute to thought leadership and support team development within Mace Consult’s centres of excellence.

Please note: The candidate must be able to undertake relevant security clearance and travel as required.

Extensive knowledge of HM Treasury Green Book, HM Treasury Teal Book, UK Government investment appraisal methods, and business cases.
Knowledge of one or more property and infrastructure sectors such as aviation, rail, roads, healthcare, nuclear, utilities, energy, or government.
Skilled in research, analysis, creative idea generation, and delivering high-quality presentations and reports.
Ability to manage multiple commissions and internal development work simultaneously.
Strong professional and collaborative capabilities in stakeholder engagement and client relationship management.

About you
Flexible and agile with the ability to manage a range of activities.

Passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
Committed to Mace’s values of safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunity.
Open to part-time, flexible, and hybrid working arrangements where suitable.
