Our Group Procurement team manages third-party supplier engagements, partnering with the business to deliver high performance and sustainable value. The Senior Buyer (Technology) role sits within the Technology Tower of Group Procurement and supports the Senior Category Manager for Digital Operations. This individual contributor position is responsible for executing category plans, managing supplier relationships, and handling procurement activities across platforms such as Ariba, Oracle, and Fieldglass. The Digital Operations category represents an annual spend of approximately £100 million, covering areas including End User Compute (laptops, mobiles, devices), Telephony & AV, User Software, and Observability. The role involves sourcing software, hardware, and professional services, with potential support for other sub-teams within Group Procurement. Key responsibilities include supporting category strategy delivery, leading sourcing and negotiations for low to medium value agreements, managing purchase requests and orders, maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, collaborating with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Cyber, Engineering, and HR, managing procurement data and reporting, supporting contract management, and staying informed on market trends to recommend sourcing improvements. You will be part of a collaborative and innovative culture that values diversity, continuous improvement, and sustainability.

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in buying/procurement
- Proven ability to liaise with and manage suppliers
- Experience in market and category analysis
- Strong IT skills, especially in Office programs; experience with procurement systems is desirable
- Experience in procurement within Financial Services, Information Services, FinTech, or global multi-country organisations is preferred

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level
