About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Officer who is confident, capable, and passionate about delivering high-quality care. You will join our team at Clifton Gardens Care Residential Home, a 42-bed residential care home supporting older people, many living with dementia. In this key role, you will lead by example, ensuring our residents receive high-quality, person-centred care that supports their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Your responsibilities will include leading and supervising a team of care staff on shift, administering and managing medications safely, monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing, providing compassionate emotional support, maintaining accurate care records, working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals, acting as Duty Officer when required, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding, policies, and care regulations.

Experience
- Significant experience in a senior care role including leading a small team
- Proven ability to lead shifts and supervise staff
- Experience in dementia care
- Strong knowledge of care planning, safeguarding, and compliance

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care
- Confident using digital care systems and IT (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Enhanced DBS clearance is essential
