About the Role
Lead the vital work of managing client finances with care, accuracy and integrity. As Senior Client Affairs Officer, you will play a key leadership role in managing and protecting the finances of vulnerable residents who cannot manage their own money. You will lead a small, dedicated team ensuring every decision is made in each client’s best interests – with transparency, fairness and compassion at the heart of everything you do.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will ensure that vulnerable residents’ finances are managed efficiently, safely and in full compliance with regulations. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Client Affairs Team, supervising staff and ensuring their work meets the highest standards of accuracy and probity. Responsibilities include making payments, managing accounts, ensuring all client income is received and recorded correctly, and managing appropriate investments for surplus funds in line with policy.

You will work closely with a wide range of partners including care management teams, families, solicitors, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Court of Protection. Leading on new referrals, you will determine the right course of action, make formal applications to relevant bodies and attend client review meetings, safeguarding enquiries or court hearings as required.

You will also drive service improvements by reviewing and updating procedures to reflect legislative changes, introducing new systems or technology, and delivering training to staff to maintain consistent and current practice. Handling first-stage complaint responses with professionalism, empathy and fairness will also be part of your role.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Interviews will be held in person during the week commencing 19th October 2026.

About you
