About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. The Senior Corporate Finance Manager will work closely with wider programme delivery teams and Cost Consultants to support MoJ Finance Business Partners, ensuring confidence in delivering the programme within approved budgets and meeting committed financial year spend.
You will take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often managing large and complex commissions with a focus on consistent and accurate finance management, cashflow accuracy, risk mitigation, and commercial controls.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a critical friend to HMPPs Finance managers, coordinating and collaborating with wider teams and external cost management delivery partners to provide informed, consistent, and accurate reporting.
- Collaborating with Mace risk managers to implement a structured EMV-driven process for risk and contingency management, leading stakeholder conversations and aligning consistent approaches to risk allowances, unlocking contingency in a timely manner to support programme delivery.
- Working with Mace planning managers and Cost Consultants to provide aligned and consistent cashflow forecasting and challenge risk profiling.
- Managing reporting to the Mace sector lead, providing trend analysis, updates, and narratives to support cashflow movements.
- Monitoring and flagging financial year under and overspend, identifying strategies through contract management to deliver planned year-on-year spend.
- Supporting teams to deliver business plans, liaising with Mace finance teams to monitor planned and actual fee spend, and providing quarterly updates to the Commercial lead.
- Supporting forecasting of fees, income, and costs, collaborating with programme leads to provide month-on-month reconciliation of income and cost to determine margin position.
