About the Role
Join the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Senior DevOps Engineer within the SwapClear team, the world’s leading interest rate derivatives clearing platform. You will work on robust, high-performance platforms that underpin global financial markets, contributing to regulatory excellence, operational integrity, and industry confidence. This role offers the opportunity to be a subject matter expert in DevOps technologies, driving innovation through automation and AI-assisted engineering capabilities. You will design and lead CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, develop containerised applications, and ensure security and compliance across environments. Collaboration with development teams and mentoring colleagues will be key, alongside exploring AI-driven automation to enhance workflows and developer productivity. This is a senior role based in London, offering a dynamic and inclusive culture that values continuous improvement, diversity, and global collaboration.
Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps and Cloud technologies
- Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Skilled in containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and AKS
- Proficient in AWS cloud infrastructure management
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, and Shell
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in financial services or investment banking environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL optimisation and scheduling tools like Control-M is desirable
- Exposure to AI/ML-powered tooling or automation frameworks in software engineering or DevOps workflows is a plus
- Experience with on-premises to cloud migration preferred

Qualifications
