About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a Senior Digital Engineering and BIM Manager, you will support the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring resources are sufficient to meet project goals. You will communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, conduct interviews to assess BIM candidates, and develop BIM execution plans (BEP) alongside the client's digital handover strategy. You will maintain a thorough understanding of ISO19650 and other applicable standards, ensure security protocols for information viewing and issuing, and implement governance and assurance processes. Your responsibilities include monitoring digital handover to completion, producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) per ISO 19650, and developing information standards, methods, procedures, and shared resources.
You will raise job requisitions to recruit BIM talent, research compliance with new regulations, manage object library development aligned with BIM strategy, and assure the quality of Information Models (Pre-RIBA Stage 3). You will review Autodesk Construction Cloud account management and emerging technology solutions to improve BIM processes. Supporting construction sequencing strategies and cost plan preparation with the Mace Cost team will also be part of your role.
Providing training on databases, data analysis, template creation, assurance, COBie production, and other BIM topics is essential, as is upskilling client teams, project managers, and design teams through knowledge sharing sessions. You will collaborate with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural compliance with the Mace Way, identify and implement continuous improvement plans, and maintain internal and external relationships. Managing and influencing key senior stakeholders is critical, as is working collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition by proactively managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Mace values safety first, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunities for people to excel. We champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment and encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates. Flexible, part-time, and hybrid working options may be considered where suitable.
