About the Role
Newham is a vibrant, diverse borough committed to inclusive education and supporting children and young people with SEND. Our vision is to ensure every child and young person enjoys the best possible opportunities through outstanding education and services. As a consultation service, we prioritise collaboration with parents and professionals to make psychology accessible to all.

We are seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to join our leadership team, providing management support and contributing to strategic developments across the borough. This role offers the opportunity to lead service developments, project work, and contribute to priorities such as early intervention, therapeutic techniques, psychological assessment, systemic consultation, and trauma-informed practice.

Our service is highly regarded by schools and Ofsted, recognised as an area of strength. You will work within a diverse portfolio including mainstream and special schools, colleges, child development services, and universities. Community initiatives include multi-agency projects supporting inclusion, youth empowerment, autism services, and Video Interaction Guidance to improve family relationships.

We offer a positive, nurturing work environment with excellent induction, supervision, CPD opportunities, flexible/hybrid working, dedicated admin support, comprehensive IT support, and wellbeing benefits. Our package also includes travel season ticket loans, cycle schemes, Local Authority pension, and relocation allowance.

If appointed, you will deliver evidence-based, high-quality psychological services to children, young people, and families, sharing our commitment to integrated working and targeted interventions at the highest standards.
