About the Role

As a Senior or Principal ICT Consultant specializing in Building Technology Systems (BTS), you will design IT networks and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems within buildings, collaborating closely with multiple design disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing teams. Your role involves liaising with clients and stakeholders to understand and interpret their requirements, implementing cutting-edge network designs and technologies in real-world applications. Core Functions
- Work within the BTS discipline team providing design and technical advice on projects led by seniors or take lead on smaller projects
- Complete detailed designs and feasibility studies
- Contribute to overall project feasibility from a BTS perspective
- Produce detailed and performance specifications and equipment schedules
- Work independently with minimal supervision on technical aspects or under clear direction when required
- Interpret project needs relevant to the discipline
Experience
- Proven experience in IT Network Design, including Passive or Active networks
- Structured Cabling Design (Copper or Fibre)
- Wireless Design, Server Room and Data Centre Design
- Telephony and Telecommunications Infrastructure Design
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Eligible to live and work in the UK and capable of achieving SC-level UK security clearance
Qualifications
- CIBSE, IET, or Engineering Council accredited honours degree or equivalent experience leading to Chartership
- Revit MEP training relevant to the discipline
- Any accredited network qualification is desirable
