Senior SEN Caseworker


Location
Primarily based at Kaleidoscope, 32 Rushey Green, London SE6 4JD. We operate a hybrid working approach requiring regular work both in the office/settings and from home.
Hours
Full time, standard local government working hours with flexible working and family friendly policies.
Salary
£47,367 to £49,509 per annum (PO2). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point for the grade unless matching current salary with evidential proof.
About the Role

As a Senior SEN Caseworker within the SEN Team (Birth to NC Year 7), you will manage a cohort of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your responsibilities include securing appropriate placements and education for children and young people (CYP) with EHCPs, ensuring the local authority meets its statutory obligations in response to EHC annual reviews, and managing the EHC needs assessment process. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines. You will be part of a committed team supporting CYP with SEND to achieve better outcomes and aspirations.

Experience
Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND and their families. Sound knowledge of Education and SEN law and processes, with the ability to complete complex processes efficiently and to a high standard within defined deadlines.

Qualifications
