£57,180 - £59,394 per annum (P05). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.
About the Role
Join the innovative IT and Digital Service at Lewisham Council as an Oracle Cloud HCM Applications Specialist. You will be part of a passionate Applications Team dedicated to supporting and advancing the council's IT systems to improve services for Lewisham residents. In this key role, you will take ownership of complex system issues, lead system enhancements, support strategic projects, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to maximise the value of our Oracle Cloud HCM platform.
Your responsibilities will include investigating and resolving complex Oracle Cloud HCM incidents, leading system enhancements from requirements gathering through to post-go-live support, coordinating integrations between Oracle Cloud and feeder systems including Oracle PaaS solutions, managing quarterly updates and system maintenance, working with third-party support partners, providing expert advice to stakeholders, supporting medium-scale projects, and line managing team members with leadership and coaching.

Experience
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM modules including Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, OTL, ORC and BI Publisher
- Experience supporting, configuring and developing Oracle Cloud HCM to meet business needs
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience managing system changes and enhancements through the full delivery lifecycle
- Previous experience of leading or mentoring staff

You are an experienced Oracle Cloud professional with strong technical and analytical skills, capable of managing complex issues and driving continuous improvement. You work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, translating technical concepts into practical solutions and ensuring excellent customer service throughout. You have a collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across technical and business teams. You are able to support and develop others through leadership and coaching.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in Oracle Cloud HCM or related IT fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. A strong professional background and proven experience in Oracle Cloud HCM applications is essential.
