Salary
£32,112 - £32,571 per annum (SC3). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.

We are looking for someone who can provide high quality, customer focused and responsive service to Lewisham residents.

As a caretaker, you will clean and maintain the shared areas of the buildings we manage, ensuring residents live in a safe, clean and tidy environment. Responsibilities include sweeping and cleaning all internal and external communal areas on a scheduled and reactive basis using appropriate equipment, chemicals and materials safely. You will remove fly-tipping, bulky items and lumber from communal areas and dwellings, including loading vehicles and, if appropriate, driving to disposal sites.

You will carry out systematic checks on a scheduled or reactive basis, sorting or reporting problems such as chutes, litter bins, communal lighting, fire safety hazards and communal repairs. You will request and monitor repairs to communal areas as identified by managers or supervisors. Additionally, you will identify and report any welfare or safeguarding concerns about vulnerable residents, as well as nuisance, anti-social or criminal behaviour, providing evidence to support enforcement action including witness statements.

Experience
No specific experience required, but previous experience in a similar role or grounds maintenance would be advantageous.

Qualifications
