About the Role
As Senior Visuals Producer at BBC Studios Creative, you will own and manage the key art and visual content creation, curation, selection, and delivery for BBC Studios. Acting as the central point of accountability, you will ensure all visuals align with key art guidelines, marketing objectives, and editorial standards. This role blends creative vision with technical expertise to create memorable imagery that supports the BBC’s strategic vision.
You will lead large-scale visual projects from concept to delivery, directing stakeholders, commissioning contributors, and managing studio and location shoots to produce high-quality promotional materials. You will research, select, edit, and produce effective visual content using appropriate technology, ensuring all assets are technically compliant, approved, and cleared for use.
Managing incoming imagery, approvals, embargoes, rollout schedules, and usage restrictions will be key, alongside driving scalable workflows, processes, and guidelines across Digital Asset Management systems, internal platforms, and external partners. You will also manage project budgets, resource planning, contractor engagement, and spend management, working closely with Production and Traffic teams to deliver best value.

Experience
- Significant experience in photography, photo management, or Digital Asset Management leadership within media, entertainment, or communications.
- Proven ability to operate as a proactive self-starter within a matrixed, multi-location organisation.
- Excellent senior-level stakeholder management skills, working across marketing, press, publicity, and creative teams in complex or political environments.
- Hands-on experience with photo editing, retouching, DAM systems, metadata, access controls, and embargoes.
- Creative skills demonstrated through idea generation, conceptual thinking, problem solving, and stakeholder management.
- Experience producing and/or directing promotional work, managing post production approvals, curating shot selection, and improving processes.
- Experience commissioning photographers including negotiation.
- Highly organised with experience creating calendars, trackers, and scalable approval workflows to support creative delivery.
