About the Role
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Metering team, where you’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be visiting various properties throughout the day, working on Smart Meters in both homes and businesses. You will use a handheld device to complete your tasks and update all details on your tablet, ensuring records for new and existing customers are kept up to date. Your responsibilities will include reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters, changing SIM cards, modems, and small gain aerials, re-joining smart devices to the network, and exchanging batteries on gas meters. You will also complete site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties.

Experience
No specific experience required, but experience in a meter reading role, especially with smart meters, is a plus.

You will be located in one of the following postcode areas: BN, BR, CR, CT, DA, GU, KT, ME, RH, SM, TN, TW. Good geographical knowledge of your local and surrounding areas is key for this role. You should be quick to learn and eager to grasp new tasks and opportunities, with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Self-motivated and organised, you will thrive in a lone working role and be dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
