About the Role
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. In this role, you will be part of our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector. As an engineer, you'll respond to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, ensuring customers' Smart Meters are functioning correctly. Customer service is our top priority, and you'll ensure that all jobs are completed on time while explaining the benefits and safe usage of smart meters to customers. You will complete the installation and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, typically handling around 5 jobs per day. There is an uncapped bonus for any extra jobs you complete. You will have access to your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance and will receive continuous training to maintain and develop your skills. Health and safety will be at the heart of everything you do, and you will have support from field managers and weekly meetings to ensure you never feel isolated.

Experience
Valid UK driving licence; must have held your licence for 1 year and have less than 6 points. Experience installing gas and electric smart meters is preferred.

About you
You should have a CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or hold an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel. Previous MOCOPA experience to a multi-rate level is advantageous. If you have additional qualifications such as REGT1 or 3 phase, that would be beneficial but are not required to apply.
