About the Role
Join the Learning Disability Services team at the London Borough of Newham during an exciting period of growth and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work within a person-centred, strengths-based approach to support adults with learning disabilities aged 25 and over. Reporting to the Learning Disabilities Team Manager, you will manage a varied caseload and work closely with a range of professionals including the Court of Protection. The team focuses on relationship-based practice, building independence, and positive risk-taking. You will be part of a supportive team with excellent progression pathways and training opportunities. Experience
Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying social work experience with demonstrable skills in assessment and delivering high quality interventions. Experience working in adult social care, particularly with learning disabilities, safeguarding, mental capacity, Court of Protection, and risk management is essential. Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and build partnerships with voluntary, community, faith sectors, and health services.

Qualifications
Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration. Evidence of continuing professional development and capability to practice in line with current professional standards. Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) is required.
