About the Role
Join the Learning Disability Services team in the London Borough of Newham at an exciting time of growth and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work within a vibrant, culturally rich borough committed to providing high quality, person-centred, strengths-based social care. As a Social Worker for adults with Learning Disabilities aged 25 and over, you will manage a varied caseload, working closely with residents, their families, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals including the Court of Protection. Reporting to the Learning Disabilities Team Manager, you will be part of a supportive team focused on relationship-based practice, building independence, and positive risk-taking. The role offers a hybrid working model with a modern office environment and flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. Experience
Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying social work experience with demonstrable skills in assessment, intervention, safeguarding, and case management within Adult Social Care. Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities and knowledge of Care Act interventions, Strengths Based Practice, Mental Capacity, Court of Protection, and Safeguarding Adults is essential. Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and build partnerships with voluntary, community, faith sectors, and health services.

Qualifications
