About the Role

Join CDSClear IT, the team behind the technology powering CDSClear – a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). As a Software Development Manager, you will lead the development of CDSClear's Clearing Platform, managing a team of engineers based in London. Your responsibilities will include overseeing software components handling market connectivity, trade registration, trade life-cycling, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with Risk Development, QA, IT Support, and other teams to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions. This role offers the opportunity to partner with business stakeholders to drive the platform and business through the next stage of development, leveraging automation and AI innovations to enhance quality and time-to-market. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage third-line support for production and test systems, and engage with stakeholders across business transformation, product, risk, operations, and compliance.

Experience
- System design knowledge applicable to Derivative Trade Capture or Front-to-Back processing systems or similar
- Leading engineering of external connectivity and protocol implementation (FpML workflows), trade life-cycling, data quality controls, retention strategies, and reporting solutions
- Proven leadership, coaching, and development of engineering teams aligned with business goals
- Engineering experience with Java / Oracle technology stack in a Financial Services environment
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm
- Demonstrated ability to maximize automated test tooling
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry best practices for Financial Markets Infrastructure
- Delivery management of multi-person, multi-month initiatives with business stakeholder alignment
- Ability to develop and execute a long-term vision for system improvement
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Qualifications
- Knowledge of Credit Derivative Trade Capture and Life-cycling, and Derivative Clearing is advantageous
- Experience with AWS Cloud Architecture is beneficial
- Understanding of market risk reporting is a plus
