About the Role

As a Software Development Manager within CDSClear IT, you will lead the development of the clearing platform that powers CDSClear, a critical clearing service. This role involves managing a London-based team of engineers responsible for market connectivity, trade registration, trade life-cycling, and reporting components. You will collaborate closely with Risk Development, QA, IT Support, and other teams to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions. This position offers the opportunity to influence the next stage of platform and business development by leveraging automation and AI innovations to enhance quality and speed to market. You will engage with stakeholders across business transformation, product, risk, operations, compliance, and more to design and deliver impactful production changes. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage third-line support for production and test systems.

Experience
- Proven system design knowledge applicable to Derivative Trade Capture, Front-to-Back processing systems, or similar.
- Experience leading engineering of external connectivity and protocol implementation (FpML workflows), trade life-cycling, data quality controls, retention strategies, and reporting solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing engineering teams.
- Strong background in Java/Oracle technology stack within Financial Services.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Ability to maximize automated test tooling.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and industry best practices for Financial Markets Infrastructure.
- Experience managing multi-person, multi-month delivery initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Qualifications
