About the Role
Corporate Digital & Applications (CDA) builds the BBC’s internal tools, including iPages, the system behind the BBC’s intranet and its public-facing corporate sites. You will work on iPages, enhancing and crafting quality components that users love and website editors trust, empowering them to create engaging, accessible, and user-friendly websites quickly.

Join a team shaping the building blocks of BBC websites such as Media Centre, Writers, or the Big Weekend. iPages is a mature product supporting around 400 sites, managed by 1000 editors. You will help update, develop, and occasionally design components that are visually appealing, clear, fully accessible, and user-friendly for editors. You will also identify opportunities to make components developer-friendly, supporting the mission of delivering value at pace.

The wider CDA team is a friendly, flexible, start-up style group building internal products that keep the BBC running. These include custom-built web apps for procurement, staff scheduling, internal events, finance, and HR functions. CDA is currently enhancing its bespoke design system to optimise new app development, and you will help extend these design choices to iPages, creating a consistent language across all tools.

Working in CDA offers real ownership, impact, and growth within a supportive and flexible team environment. If you are detail-oriented and collaborative, you will fit in well.
