About the Role
Meta is seeking experienced engineers to join our Central Integrity team, dedicated to keeping billions of people safe across Meta's platforms. Our team designs and deploys systems that detect and disrupt harm at an unprecedented global scale, leveraging some of the largest AI deployments for positive real-world impact in the industry. We safeguard critical areas including child and youth safety, fraud and scams, identity and authenticity, while proactively building defenses against emerging threats such as autonomous AI agents and automated risk vectors. This role involves some of the most technically demanding and high-stakes engineering and product work at Meta, driven by a deeply mission-focused team.

As a Technical Leader on the Access & Compromise team, you will own the technical direction for how Meta prevents, detects, and remediates account and entity compromise across the Family of Apps. This includes authentication and recovery integrity, compromise detection, enforcement, and measurement systems that prove real harm reduction. You will:
- Own the multi-year technical strategy for account and entity compromise, negotiating approaches with executive leadership and developing execution plans with partner organizations.
- Protect Meta's user accounts, assets, and people from unauthorized access and downstream harms such as scams, financial loss, impersonation, and abuse.
- Manage the full integrity lifecycle for account access: authentication and recovery integrity, detection of compromise signals, enforcement, remediation, and harm measurement.
- Establish technical direction in highly pressured and ambiguous areas where adversaries are motivated, organized, and constantly adapting.
- Integrate integrity requirements into new products and account models, ensuring security and integrity readiness from launch.
- Define and track harm metrics including compromise rates, harm prevented, recovery success, and false-positive costs.
- Partner and communicate effectively across Meta to balance user protection, product friction, and business outcomes.
- Identify and execute opportunities to accelerate company progress through centralization of tooling and systems.
- Adapt to changing priorities by reassessing plans, communicating trade-offs, and iterating on solutions as requirements evolve.

Requirements

Experience
- 12+ years building large-scale applications or equivalent experience
- 12+ years programming experience
- 8+ years experience with web or mobile technologies
- Proven track record leading large cross-functional and industry-wide engineering efforts
- Experience mentoring and influencing engineers across organizations
- Experience planning multi-year roadmaps aligning short-term projects with long-term vision
- Demonstrated ability to deliver step-change improvements through architectural redesign or rebuilds
- Experience working on adversarial problems with adaptive bad actors
- Experience partnering with legal, policy, or compliance teams to design scalable technical solutions addressing privacy, security, or integrity
- Experience integrating AI-assisted development practices and agent-based workflows to improve engineering productivity
- Experience building detection, classification, or enforcement systems for abuse, fraud, or safety at consumer scale
- Experience defining and operationalizing reliability, performance, or quality frameworks at organizational or company-wide scale
- Experience in trust and safety, risk, fraud, security, or regulated-domain engineering

About you
You are a mission-driven technical leader passionate about solving complex, high-stakes problems that have immediate real-world impact. You thrive in ambiguous, high-pressure environments where adversaries are constantly adapting. You communicate effectively across teams and leadership, balancing technical trade-offs with user experience and business goals. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve systems and accelerate progress through collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
