About the Role
Meta is seeking experienced engineers to join our Central Integrity team, dedicated to keeping billions of people safe across Meta's platforms. This team designs and deploys systems that detect and disrupt harm at an unprecedented global scale, leveraging some of the largest AI deployments for positive real-world impact in the industry. Our work safeguards critical areas including child and youth safety, fraud and scams, identity and authenticity, while proactively defending against emerging threats such as autonomous AI agents and automated risk vectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most technically demanding and high-stakes engineering challenges at Meta, driven by a mission-focused team.
As a Technical Leader on the Abusive Actors team, you will own the technical strategy to identify and disrupt actors and coordinated networks behind the most significant integrity risks across Meta’s family of apps. You will address pressing issues such as scaled bot attacks, scams, and child safety risks, developing multi-year strategies and communicating them clearly to audiences ranging from individual contributors to executive leadership.
You will evolve and scale the end-to-end integrity lifecycle across various violations and products, establishing extensible technical foundations, coding standards, and architectural patterns that improve consistency and delivery velocity. Collaborating closely with product and analytics partners, you will define trusted metrics to measure success and failure.
In this role, you will establish technical direction in highly pressured and ambiguous areas where adversaries constantly adapt, helping engineering teams adopt sustainable and agile approaches that often span organizational boundaries. You will partner across Meta to navigate complex trade-offs between user protection, product friction, and business outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include integrating integrity solutions into new products such as Muse to ensure they are safe, trusted, and scalable. You will lead cross-functional execution of organization-wide technical initiatives, align stakeholders, manage dependencies, and drive outcomes against defined milestones and metrics.
You will also develop and operationalize engineering excellence programs including reliability standards, performance guardrails, and quality frameworks adopted across teams. Identifying systemic issues and recurring failure patterns, you will design architectural improvements that prevent entire classes of problems and inefficiencies.
As a leader, you will recruit and develop engineers with critical skills, role-model technical and cultural values, and mentor engineers across the organization by providing feedback, coaching, and technical guidance on the most challenging system problems and collaborations.
