About the Role
We are expanding our Merton Speech and Language Therapy Team and offering exciting full-time Band 6 opportunities within a vibrant, friendly team. You will support pupils across a range of settings including a primary school additional resource base (ARP) for pupils with Autism and a special school for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). In the PMLD setting, there is no requirement to manage Dysphagia as this is managed by the NHS service. In the special school, you will join a team of five speech and language therapists working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT) in an outstanding school for children aged 4-19, located close to Morden Town Centre.

Our team works across mainstream and special schools, the Youth Offending Team, and the Virtual School for Children in Care. We deliver high-quality statutory, targeted, and universal SLT support, collaborating closely with educational professionals, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and SEN teams to ensure a joined-up, inclusive approach to care.

We offer flexible working arrangements supported by excellent IT, with admin time that can be completed at home where appropriate. Travel expenses between schools are reimbursed, and professional fees for HCPC and RCSLT membership are covered.

Our team values cultural diversity and has established a Cultural Diversity Network that supports and celebrates the diverse backgrounds of our therapists, fostering a respectful and inclusive working environment.

Applicants should be experienced Band 5 therapists ready to step up or current Band 6 therapists seeking to develop specialist skills and contribute to meaningful service development.
