Hours
Full Time - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Typical hours are 08:30 to 15:30, but may include some early mornings, evenings and weekends to meet service demands.

Salary
Grade ME5 £29,436 - £30,288 per annum

About the Role
The Jan Malinowski Centre is a large multi-purpose day service for adults with a learning disability, known for promoting choice, rights, inclusion and independence through personalised development plans. Our philosophy places residents first, with a strong commitment to meeting individual needs.

We are seeking imaginative and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated staff team to enhance life experiences for all service users. The vacancies are primarily in the mainstream section, but you may be required to work across all areas of the centre as requested by management.

You will work collaboratively with the team to provide quality and meaningful activities both within the centre and in the community. The role involves excellent communication skills, the ability to formulate and implement session plans, and acting as a keyworker for an identified group of service users.

The service strongly supports staff development and training opportunities, offering a highly motivated and supportive working environment.

Experience
Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities or in a similar support role is desirable but not essential.

About you
You will be imaginative, enthusiastic and committed to enhancing the lives of service users. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. Flexibility to work varied hours including some early mornings, evenings and weekends is required.

A clean driver’s licence is preferred as part of the role may involve travel within the community.

No specific qualifications are required, but a willingness to engage in ongoing training and development is expected.
