Salary
£43,680 - £48,003 per annum (Grade 7) 12 months Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity. This role attracts additional allowances for working weekends and unsociable hours.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Team Lead to join our Starting Well Directorate. You will manage a team of Facilities Officers ensuring that our buildings, including MyPlace Community and Youth Centre, Hedley Close, and Havering’s Children Centres, operate efficiently, safely, and in a customer-focused manner. Key responsibilities include managing and supervising Starting Well Facilities Officers, conducting appraisals and supporting professional development, covering shifts at MyPlace as required, ensuring building compliance with health and safety standards, undertaking risk assessments, carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, overseeing building operations such as security, alarms, and cleaning, promoting Starting Well facilities and services to the community, and deputising for the Facilities Manager when needed.
Experience
- Managing public-facing buildings
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to conduct risk assessments
- Experience working with young people and understanding safeguarding principles

Qualifications
